Under One Roof has worked with Ms. Jean doing small projects for her over the past few years.
She loves sitting out on her porch with her dogs enjoying the sun.
She asked us to look at her deck to see if we could repair some of the boards that were rotting through. During the visit we noticed quite a bit of damage. Water was not able to run off the deck because she had someone paint it which sealed up the cracks and prevented the water from draining through.
We replaced a couple of the joists and all of the deck boards.
Along with our normal volunteers we had a group of 5 teen agers helping with the project.
